My story
Hi, my name is Willy. I'm a seafarer on board a merchant ship. Together with my crewmates and our special little friend Archie, we travel the high seas, visiting the ports of many countries around the world to transport all sorts of goods to people. Life at sea is a real adventure, and a very important job. Come join us on this journey and learn more about ships and shipping, different places and the marine environment. Welcome Aboard!
A good cause
Around 90% of our world's trade is transported by ships. This keeps our world supplied with all the things we need. From the stuff we all have and use in our homes and school, our toys, medicine when we are sick and even the food in the kitchen. This is all possible thanks to the sailors working on these ships.
